Shores tells the story of my ongoing gender transition and a slow crawl out of depression. It visits locations and feelings that were important to me in the past five years. By making a soundtrack for these years, I'm trying to process them.

A shore is somewhere you can find yourself stranded, but it's also a turning point between land and ocean. Going from stable ground to endless dark, or sometimes, blissful unknown. Both of these ideas, of being washed up on a metaphorical beach and of entering a vastness that can be both good and bad, are what inspired these tracks.
